Sunny Pictures - Toddler Learning Activity
Let toddlers dip round objects into sunny color paint: yellow, orange, red etc., then make sun prints on construction paper. Look around your house for different items to use as stamps like flowers, cups etc.
Summer Sun Collage- Toddler Learning Activity
Fold a large piece of white paper and cut a sun shape out and tape to a wall. Look through magazines for pictures of summer things like picnics, swimming, summer foods etc. Cut them out or let your toddler tear them out. Glue the pictures to the sun shape.
Sand Paintings- Toddler Learning Activity
Use colored sand and brush glue on carboard or construction paper and sprinkle the colored sand on the glue. Shake off any excess sand and let dry.
Sand Playdough- Toddler Learning Activity
Mix together 2 cups all purpose flour, 2 c water, and a few drops vegetable oil. Add 1/2 to 3/4 c sand until the dough is the desired texture. Let your child play with the sand playdough and ask them to describe how it feels.
